Pope Francis appoints Bishop Gregory Bittman as the new Bishop of Nelson, Canada

Holy Father Pope Francis has named Bishop Gregory Bittman, and auxiliary for the Archdiocese of Edmonton, as the new Bishop of Nelson, BC, Canada. The new appointment was announced after the resignation of Bishop John Corriveau O.F.M. Cap.

His Excellency Bishop Gregory Bittman was ordained a priest on 15^th August 1996 for the Archdiocese of Edmonton, Alberta. Gregory Bittman was appointed an auxiliary Bishop for Edmonton on 14 July 2012 and consecrated two months later on 2 September.
