On World Mission Day which was celebrated on 23 October, Pope Francis called for prayers for peace in Ukraine. He also announced his visit to Rome’s Colosseum on 25 October to engage in an interreligious prayer for peace in Ukraine.
The theme for World Mission Day this year was “You shall be my witnesses.” Pope Francis in his message for the day added that he dreams of a complete missionary church where there are new missionary activities. He also added that this is an important opportunity to reawaken the faithful.
