The prayer service that was held today morning at St. Peter square Vatican, Rome, around 27000 pilgrims from all over the world was present. His Holiness Pope Francis spoke about the fifth part of the catechesis. The expression is on the prayer, ‘Our Father’ expressed as ‘we forgive those whose trespass against us.’ His Holiness went on to say, “Man must be debtor before God because from Him we received nature and grace. Self-made men do not exist in the church.”
“For we are filled by Gods Grace and God loves us infinitely more than we do. those who pray learn to say thank you but we forget to say thank you. People who pray and ask for Gods Grace, His benevolent blessings are always upon them which makes us debtors all the time. As we live in Christians teachings, always will have something to ask for forgiveness into the days spent lazily, to the moments our anger has occupied our hearts, we need to ask ‘Lord forgive us our trespasses’.
This is in the first expression that continues to enlighten our minds as Jesus spoke that follows in the second expression, ‘as, we forgive those who trespass against us.’ Through this a new message is given to us by God himself to live in harmony with our brethren’s.
“Jesus has himself shown his disciples the expression of God as tender mercy. There is more glory in heaven over a repented sinner than a whole crowd of just people who do not need conversion.” His Holiness Pope Francis continued “Nothing in the Gospel suggest that God does not forgive those who repent. Christians know that forgiveness is for real. Grace of God is so abundant that we have received so much, indeed so we too should give so much, cannot keep it to ourselves.” His Holiness Pope Francis said.
His Holiness Pope Francis continues from the Gospels of Mathew, the seven expressions he spoke, he emphasized on this, “that if you forgive others transgressions, your Heavenly Father will also forgive but if you do not forgive, your Father in heaven cannot forgive your transgressions.”
The Pontiff concludes by saying when we have received forgiveness, which is precious we too can give it to our brethren’s by ‘a word, a hug, or a smile .’
