On 27th June 2017, Pope Francis celebrated the Holy mass to mark the 25th Jubilee of his ordination to the episcopacy in the Pauline Chapel of the Apostolic Palace along with the Cardinals present in the city. Angelo Raffaele Sodano, Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church greeted Pope Francis on the occasion and pledged him all the love due the Successor of the first Pope, St.Peter.
Pope Francis explained the Readings of the day which was taken from the book of Genesis. His Holiness focused on the three advises that the Lord Almighty had given to Abraham, the Father of Faith “To Arise, Look out and be Hopeful!” Further, he added that “ The message God gave to Abraham on that day, he also gives to each person on this present day, to be on the way , about the journey; to look at the ever-retreating horizon, and to hope without stint, despite it all. ”He reminded the faithful, to pass on the dreams to the coming generations so that they may arise, look out and be hopeful in their life.
After the Holy Mass, Pope Francis greeted the Cardinals one by one and also the members of the household staff and professional staffs and shared his joy marking 25 years as a bishop.
