Vatican City: Pope Francis says that the online sacrificial system sees a group of believers living among themselves in the sacraments, the church and the people of God. The pope made this remark during a sermon on the divine sacrifice offered at the Santa Marta cup. This is the church life at this difficult time. But this is not the church. The Pope reminded that the Church is always with the people and the sacraments.
Following the Covid 19 epidemic, believers do not participate in the liturgy of churches. Through various digital and electronic media, believers participate in the divine sacrifice at home. The Eucharistic reception is now being held in place of the Eucharist. This is in keeping with government regulations. One’s relationship with Jesus is profound and personal, but it is in a fellowship. Without fellowship, without the Eucharist, the people of God cannot be united with the Lord.
Doing so will lead to a relationship with God that leaves Him alone for His people. If we look at the Gospels, we find that Jesus’ disciples always lived in communion with the Lord. They gathered around the table as a sign of fellowship. The pope said he was concerned about the danger of the pestilence, which could only be communicated through the media.
