Holy Father Pope Francis has sent a video message to the Peruvians asking them to have hope and unity by looking at the great saints of the nation. Standing near a statue of St. Martin de Porres, in the video His Holiness reminded the Peruvians in the Spanish language that He will be with them in just a short time, as his visit to the country is scheduled next year.

As reported by Catholic News Agency, Holy Father Pope Francis reminded that “It is the saints who built the Church in Peru from scattering to unity and a saint always works along this line: from what is scattered to unity, which is what Jesus did and so a Christian has to follow this path.” Further, His Holiness added, “While some other look with skepticism or bitterness, a Christian cannot because a Christian looks ahead with hope, and he hopes to achieve that which the Lord has promised him.”

His Holiness closed the video reminding the Peruvians that he would see them soon. The video message was published on August 5, 2017 by His Eminence Cardinal Juan Luis Cipriani of Lima.
