Holy Father Pope Francis met with a delegation from Tel Aviv University, emphasizing the need to develop a culture of wisdom that can create and build up future leaders who are sensitive to the profound ethical issues facing our societies. His Holiness also expressed his appreciation to the delegation for their commitment to the education of the young, who represent the present and future of the society.
As reported by news.va, Holy Father Pope Francis remarked that “Our world urgently needs to develop a culture of wisdom and we need to find ways of forming leaders capable of striking out on new paths in the effort to meet today’s needs without prejudice to future generations.” Further, His Holiness added, “Meeting this challenge in an effective way is all the more important in the light of our rapidly evolving global society, marked by social and economic crisis and intergenerational conflicts.”
His Holiness concluded his message by thanking the group of Tel Aviv University for their visit and exhorted them to have thirst for that wisdom which is a divine gift enabling to lead good and productive lives.
