Holy Father Pope Francis met with the Korean Council of Religious Leaders in the Vatican highlighting the significance of interreligious dialogue towards a future of peace and hope. His Holiness conveyed that the interreligious dialogues consist of contacts, encounters, cooperation, a challenge directed towards the common good and peace.
As reported by en.radiovaticana.va, Holy Father Pope Francis remarked that “Interreligious dialogues must always be both open and respectful if it is to be fruitful and now the world is looking to us; it asks us to work together and with all men and women of goodwill.” Further, His Holiness added, “The world looks to us for answers and a shared commitment on a range of issues, such as the sacred dignity of the human person, the hunger and poverty which still afflict too many people, the rejection of violence and, not least of all, the crisis of hope.”
Holy Father Pope Francis concluded the message by reminding the faithful about the long journey that is set ahead and asked them to undertake the future with humility and perseverance, not just by raising voices but by rolling up the sleeves, to sow the hope of a future.
