Father Michael D. Calabria, director of the center for Arab and Islamic studies in St. Bonaventure University based in New York, while addressing the gatherings assembled for a program in New-Delhi ,organized by Inter-faith Coalition for Peace, in which some 100 selected leaders from Christian, Muslim and Hindu religions attended , conveyed that this is the best time for inter-dialogue communication between all the religions and also highlighted the teachings of Holy Father Pope Francis who has always been a good example.
As reported by ucanindia.in, Fr. Michael emphasized that “ This is the best time not only for Christians but also for Muslims to come together and also for the inter-faith dialogues because Pope Francis as leader of the Catholic Church encourages such actions as no other Pope did in history.” Further, he added, “Pope Francis has gone out of his way to welcome people of other faiths, including Muslims, in the liturgical acts such as washing of the feet ceremony and set an example.”
The Catholic Church focused on the teachings of Pope Francis and asserted that His Holiness practices and encourages the church to be open to the poor, the Church also signifies Pope Francis as the symbol of peace and mercy.
