During his visit to Naples on 21 June 2019, His Holiness Pope Francis will take part in a meeting on “Theology after Veritatis Gaudium in the Mediterranean context”. In a communiqué released, the interim Director of the Vatican Press Office, Alessandro Gisotti, said the Pontiff will arrive around 9 AM and will address participants in the conference.
His Holiness Pope Francis will be welcomed by His Eminence Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, the Archbishop of Naples, His Grace Bishop Francesco Marino of Nola, and Fr. Arturo Sosa, Superior General of the Society of Jesus.
The conference is being hosted by the San Luigi section of the Pontifical Theological Faculty of Southern Italy. The Pontiff will speak on the theme of encounter, before returning to the Vatican early in the afternoon, according to the communiqué.
