Holy Father Pope Francis while addressing the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square, raised his voice on behalf of the suffering refugees and migrants all over the world and urged that everyone be ensured a future of peace, highlighting that it is everyone’s right. His Holiness Pope Francis also urged that during New Year, all work with generosity to create a more supportive and welcoming world and insisted the world to pray for the cause of migrants and refugees.
As reported by vaticannews.com, Holy Father Pope Francis remarked that “It is important that all, civil institutions, educational, welfare and ecclesial bodies are committed to ensuring peace for refugees, migrants and everyone a future of peace.” Further, His Holiness added, “Peace is the right of all and migrants and refugees are willing to risk their lives on a journey that in most cases is long and dangerous, to face hardships and suffering.”
The theme of this year World Day of Peace is “Migrants and Refugees: Men and Women in search of Peace.” Holy Father Pope Francis released his message for this day on November 24, 2017.
