Vatican City: The rituals to be performed by Pope Francis in the Vatican had begun at 2.30 pm Indian time (Rome time was 11 am). The services at St. Peter’s Basilica was conducted without public participation. The live broadcast of the event was broadcasted through the Vatican media.
The Vatican has previously issued a decree about serving in the Catholic Church on a weekly basis during Holy Week.
