Vatican City: Pope Francis has donated over 600,000 security masks to China to combat the coronavirus epidemic. The mask was jointly organized by the Vatican Pharmacy and Chinese Christian Communities from January 27th. China Southern Airlines and Masks will be supplied free of charge from the Vatican to Wuhan (Hubei), Zhejiang and Fujian, the epicenter of the epidemic. Cardinal Conrad Krajewski, who leads the Pope’s philanthropic work, and Vatican Pharmacy director and Malayali clergyman Fr. Thomas Bineesh, Vice-Rector of Pontifical Urban College, Fr. Vincenzo and Hantuo conceived the project.

On January 26, Pope Francis has called on the global community to pray specifically for the coroner. It is then that the Pope comes to China to help solve the shortage of masks, the biggest crisis China is facing now. Yesterday, the third batch of mask sets arrived in China, AsiaNews reports. The fourth batch is expected to be delivered in the coming days.
