Alphons Joseph Kannamthanam, the Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology, Culture and Tourism in India, conveyed that Holy Father Pope Francis will be invited to the country at the “right time”. He made it clear that more than 50 International leaders are waiting to visit India and in this busy schedule the government wants to invite Pope Francis at a proper and convenient time so that his visit could be fruitful.
Alphons Kannamthanam was answering the questions shot by the media in a press club about the reasons for the delay of the papal visit to India. He highlighted the schedule and proper time issues in inviting His Holiness Pope Francis to India but assured that the reasons for the delay of the papal visit would be sorted soon.
