On 4th July 2017, Holy Father Pope Francis in a video message conveyed to the faithful, the prayer intention for the month of July that focused on those that are gone astray from Christian Faith. His Holiness reminded that when a Christian becomes sad, that means he has gone away from Jesus Christ and thus it is necessary for the world to pray for these people.
As reported by Vatican news , His Holiness exhorted in the video that “Let us never forget that our joy is Jesus Christ –his faithful and inexhaustible love ” Further, he added that a lonely person should not be left alone , a truly faithful person should offer Christian hope with his words, testimony, freedom and joy to such people.
Holy Father concluded the video by stressing that , ” Let us pray that our brothers and sisters who have strayed from the faith, through our prayer and witness to the Gospel ,may rediscover the beauty of the Christian Life.”
