Vatican City: Pope Francis has clarified in his letter yesterday the importance of praying for families in May, as the world is in the grip of coronation. Pope Francis has mentioned two prayers that the global Catholic community should pray for after the Mass. Below is a Malayalam translation of those prayers.
The first prayer
O Mary, you always shine in our path, you are the sign of salvation and hope. We trust in you and deliver the health of the sick into your hands. Mother, did you not share in the sufferings of the crucified Christ while standing firm in your faith? You know what you need for the salvation of these people who are going through adversity. For, after this ordeal, as in Cana of Galilee, let joy and celebration return.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to do what Jesus tells us to do according to the Father’s will. Our sufferings were taken up on the cross to lead us to the joy of the resurrection of Christ, who took up our own sufferings. We seek refuge in the protection of you, the Holy Mother of God. Do not forsake our petitions in the face of many trials, glorious and blessed. Virgin, free us from all dangers. Amen.
The second prayer
We seek refuge in the protection of you, the Holy Mother of God. Virgin Mary, turn your merciful eyes on us who are in the grip of this coronary disease. Comfort those who are in pain and grief over the death of their loved ones and the death of their minds in some situations. Mother, support those who are suffering from illness. Fill your mother with confidence, for those who have lost loved ones in the endeavor to fight the epidemic, worry about the future, and worry about the effects of uncertainty on the economy.
May God and our mother, Pari, end the ordeal and begin a new horizon of hope and peace. O Virgin Mary, would you beg us for a merciful Father? Engage with your Divine Son as in Cana. Ask your dear Son to comfort the families of the sick and the dead and open their hearts to faith.
Mother, you protect doctors, nurses, health workers and volunteers during this time of suffering from the epidemic. Give them strength, goodness and health, along with their heroic efforts to serve others, risking their own lives to save another’s life.
Mother, you must be with those who help the sick day and night, and with the priests who strive to help and support all with a commitment to the gospel. Circle Virgin Mary, may you find the real solution to overcome this virus by enlightening the minds of men and women working in the field of science.
Mother, help all the leaders of the nation to help those who are living in poverty with wisdom, generosity, concern, and to work with foresight and solidarity by devising social and economic solutions.
Circle Virgin Mary, touch the conscience of the leaders of the nation. May they use the money they spend to build arms to promote studies to prevent such disasters in the future.
Dear Mother, Help us to grow up in the thought of being part of a larger family, especially in the sense of self-reliance. This is because we can help many poor and distressed people in a spirit of solidarity and solidarity. Grant us steadfast encouragement in the faith, perseverance in serving another, and steadfastness in prayer.
Oh, Mary. Safeguard all your painful children in your land, O refuge of the poor. May the Almighty God, with His mighty hand, deliver us from this dreadful epidemic … and restart a peaceful and normal life. We trust in You, who shine in our paths as a sign of salvation and hope, Amen, the Virgin Mary full of mercy, affection, and sweetness.
