Washington, DC: US President Donald Trump says we must protect and preserve the dignity and integrity of human life. He was addressing thousands attending the annual March for Life rally at the National Mall in Washington yesterday. He added that he was “an advocate of the right to life for the newborn.”
All of us here know the ultimate truth that every child and precious gift is God’s gift. He added that the simple reason behind our gathering here is to protect the rights of all children who are born and that they are given the God-given abilities. Trump also did not forget to specifically congratulate the college and high school students who attended the March for Life rally. Calling it the heart of the rally, Trump said the youth community is what makes America a pro-life nation. Trump received an enthusiastic reception earlier in the March for Life rally.
He was greeted by the crowd with the slogan ‘For many more years’ and ‘Best pro-life president of all time’. Trump is the first president to attend the March for Life rally. Vice President Mike Pence attended last year’s rally. Louisiana First Lady Donna Hutto Edward, her husband John Bell Edward, and Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family, addressed the rally. Hundreds of Malayalees participated in the ‘March for Life’ march led by the ‘4 Life’ Pro-life Movement, which was jointly formed by the Syro-Malabar and Syro-Malankara Diocese of the United States.
