The relatives of the young Keralite priest Fr. Martin Xavier, who was found dead at a beach near Edinburg University in Scotland, will have to wait longer to bring back home his body. The possible delay in completing the formalities were all informed by Anju Ranjan Jose, the Indian consular to Edinburg. There was a report that the body could be brought back to India in the last week itself, even if the investigation was inconclusive.
As reported by ucanindia.in, the Scotland police remarked that “The inquiry is progressing in the right direction and all the pieces of evidence had been collected, including body samples.” The relatives of Fr. Martin are still clueless on the delay to bring back his body from Scotland.
Fr. Martin Xavier, 33, went to Scotland last year for doing his PhD. and had been serving at St. John Baptist Church in Corstorphine at Edinburg.
