The relic of Sr. Rani Maria, an Indian Syro-Malabar professed religious and a social worker in the Franciscan Clarist Congregation in the Diocese of Indore, who was vocal in matters of social justice, which led to her death in the hands of those who were opposed to her efforts in aiding the poor and downtrodden, will be brought to Kerala by His Eminence Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church after 4th November 2017, on which her beatification is expected to take place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The relic includes the parts of first-class bones of Sr. Rani Maria and it will be placed in the chapel of Major Archbishops House, Ernakulam and on 11th November 2017, it will be taken to St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica through a procession and will be kept in the altar of the Cathedral, before the Special prayers and Holy Mass. On 15th November, 2017, the relic would be taken to the hometown of Sr. Rani Maria, Pulluvazhiyil and would be placed in Pulluvazhi St. Thomas Church.
More than 50 Cardinals are expected to join the beatification ceremony in Indore, on 4th November, 2017, which may long till 3hrs and many political and religious dignitaries are also expected for the ceremony.
