At a Mass held at the Basilica of St. John Lateran, the cathedral of the Diocese of Rome, Holy Father Pope Francis conveyed the true meaning of Corpus Christi , through which the Lord comes to meet a faithful with a loving fragility. His Holiness also explained the in-depth meaning of the Holy Eucharist and the significance of Remembrance in one’s life.
As reported by the Catholic news agency , His Holiness exhorted that , “Remembrance is essential for faith , as water is for a plant. A plant without water cannot stay alive and bear fruit. Nor can faith, unless it drinks deeply of the memory of all that the Lord has done for us. “ Further , he added that, “Memory is important because it allows us to dwell in love, to be mindful, never forgetting who it is ,who loves us and whom we are called to love in return.”
Holy Father concluded his homily by reminding that, “Eucharist is the sacrament of unity and thus we are all one body, let us adore and thank God for this greatest gift. “, as reported by the Catholic news agency.
