His Eminence Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, Major Archbishop of Syro-Malabar Church, while addressing the gathering at the Golden Jubilee celebration of St. Thomas Missionary Society conveyed the significant roles of a missionary. Mar Alencherry highlighted that the responsibility of a missionary is to lead and welcome the people to good humanity.
As reported by lifedayonline.com, His Excellency Archbishop Soosa Pakiam, KCBC President remarked that “All the missionary activities should be considered as a part of building up the Kingdom of God, on earth. We all should be good missionaries filled with the light of Jesus Christ.” His Grace Archbishop Soosa Pakiam was the chief guest for the function.
His Excellency Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangatt of Pala presided over the meeting. The celebrations had begun a week prior and concluded on 22nd February, 2018, with a thanksgiving Mass for which His Grace Archbishop Mar George Njaralakattu of Tellicherry was the chief celebrant.
