Most Rev. Joshua Mar Ignathios, Bishop of the Eparchy of Mavelikara, has been elected the new First Vice-President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India for a period of two years. Joshua Mar Ignathios is the Metropolitan Bishop of the Eparchy of Mavelikkara of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in the state of Kerala, India.
The new appointment was made at the 33rd General Body Meeting at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bengaluru on February 08, 2018. His Excellency Bishop Theodore Mascarenhas SFX, Secretary General, Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India, informed all concerned about the new announcement.
The 33rd General Body Meeting of CBCI at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, will conclude on 9th February, 2018.
