Pope Francis removes Robin Vadakkucheri from priest service. The decree issued by the Pope on December 5, 2019, was signed by Robin Vadakkucheri through the Diocese of Mananthavady. With this, the process of removing Robin Vadakkucheri from the priesthood was completed. The Pope has the authority only to remove a person from the priesthood. Robin Vadakkamcheri’s ousting of the Holy Throne in the clergy is the latest example of a Catholic being sentenced to death only after a thorough review.

Robin’s decree was signed and sent to Rome from the diocese. The Pope’s order was based on the recommendation of the trustees of Rome who completed the investigation and proceedings in the report submitted by Bishop Mar Jose of Mananthavady. Robb was suspended from the priesthood of Mananthavady on 27 February 2017 after conducting preliminary inquiries. The Commission was appointed on that day for a detailed inquiry.

According to church law, the apostolic order in Rome was the canonical procedure. Therefore, the report was handed over to the no-confidence panel on April 9 last year. Based on this, the process of removing Rob from the priesthood began in Rome on June 21. On February 19 last year, Rob was sentenced to 20 years in prison by the Thalassery Paxo Court.

At the same time, the Vatican rejected a second appeal by Lucy’s barn against the expulsion of the Franciscan Clarist. An appeal filed seeking to cancel the expulsion was rejected. Lucy at the FCC Karakamala Mutt has now received an order regarding this. But the former nun says she will never leave the convent.
