On 15th August, 2017, in the celebration of the Solemnity of the Assumption, fifteen Rosary sisters professed their vows at a ceremony attended by many Rosary sisters and other religious communities, placing their lives at the service of the community and the Church. The Sisters made their vow of Chastity that allows them to have a love that is open to all, without limits and then a vow of Poverty by submitting themselves to possess a selfless behavior and then a vow of Obedience to God.
As reported by indcatholicnews.com, His Excellency Archbishop Pizzaballa, Apostolic administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem remarked that “I invite the sisters to welcome ever more within the manifestations of the Lord and in being connected to the Gospel; the Sisters have already seen and will continue to see their plans transformed.”
Sr Mary Mu’awwad and Sister Sandra Awad made their first vows; Sisters Juana Qandah, Rawan Ibrahim, Alfonsina Aldaoud, Rita Ziadat, Christina Masarweh, Rita Akel, Mariam Ba’bish, Nadine Sha’ban, Hanadi Jori, Tereza Kara’ah and Rand Hamarneh renewed their vows; and Sisters Fadia Masa’deh and Sister Rita Tafitian made their final vows.
