Thodupuzha: St. Mary’s Jacob Syrian Church, Thodupuzha, has donated Rs 2000 each to 211 families in the parish. Funding is provided by the church’s current trustees and committees. The Managing Committee has decided that it is necessary to support the families of the parish during this lock-down period.
Former Trustee Benny Elias said that other parishioners were also requesting funding for the parish. Many churches in the Catholic Church have already handed over the money to the families.
