Krakow: The Archdiocese of Poland has gifted the relics of the former head of the Universal Church, Saint Pope John Paul II the Archdiocese of Changanacherry. During his visit to Poland, the archbishop of Changanacherry diocese Mar Joseph Perunthottam received the relics from the former head of the archdiocese of Poland, Cardinal Dr Stanislaus Jivishilnishan.
Cardinal Stanislaus has served as the personal secretary to the then Pope John Paul II for 37 years. On both his visits to India, Dr Stanislaus had accompanied the Pope. They visited Kerala twice during their trip. He recounted a few instances from their journey to Mar Perunthottam. Later, Mar Perunthottam expressed his gratitude over the gift and invited Dr Stanislaus to visit Kerala yet again.
