This year, the Satsang of priests of the Eparchy of Kalyan has marked it beginning on August 6, 2018, with a good number of participants attending this joy of priestly fellowship at ARC, Panvel. The theme selected for this year’s Satsang is ‘How very good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity’ (Psalm 133:1).
His Excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal of Kalyan Diocese highlighted the significance of spirituality and relationship with communion. His Grace Bishop remarked that “As a diocese we have the same mission and it’s ideals bring us closer. We have the same spirituality and all these elements bind us closer. But there is something more than that, ideologically it is unity. Church is a community of getting closer. People who come together to worship as a church, they share something that binds them together- Sharing of mind, sharing of heart, sharing of pain, sharing of mission and so on. As a diocese, we have a mission and a common faith.”
Fr. Felix D’Souza addressed the gathering with his keynote speech. The main aim of Satsang is to bring together all the priests of the Kalyan Eparchy in order to discuss about various spiritual subjects and concerns. This year, the discussions mainly focused on spirituality and communion.
