Thrissur: A Seminary student drowned in a pond in Pullazhi. Nicholas’ son, Rio Nicholas Olakenkkil, 21, of Pavarotti, Kakkassery, died in the incident. The tragic incident occurred around 9 am.
A group of clergymen from Thrissur Seminary visited the orphanage at Pullazhi as part of their social service activities. Rio went for a bath with the others and drowned in the pond. The survivors tried to rescue him, but were unsuccessful. The body was taken out by the fire department.
