His Eminence Cardinal George Alencherry, the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Catholic Church and Metropolitan of the Major Archeparchy of Ernakulam-Angamaly conveyed that social services should reflect the face of Christ and the Church. The Cardinal was addressing the people gathered at the national meeting of social service people in the Syro Malabar Church held at Kochi Pastoral Orientation Centre under the guidance of Syro Malabar Social Development Network (Spandhan).
As reported by SMCIM, His Eminence Cardinal Alencherry remarked that “Social service activities are all an opportunity for the Church to glorify the Lord Almighty’s name. The Syro- Malabar Social Development Network should work together with all the other social service activities of the Church in the country. When the social services are given a bigger space, the opportunity to glorify the Creator’s name will also get wide.”
The Cardinal concluded his remarks by asking the gathering to utilize the media platforms effectively for the use of social services.
