Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Pala, Mar Jacob Murikken, said that St. Alphonsa is the source of God’s love. Bishop Mar Murikken was delivering the message by offering the Holy Eucharist yesterday, the main day of the feast of St. Alphonsa. St. Alphonsus illuminated the face of Jesus before the world. St. Alphonsa saw a light of hope in her sickbed. The light similar to the light of the resurrection after suffering and death of Jesus. So in the message of Mar Jacob Murikken, Alphonsa shows us the light of hope, even though the coronavirus pandemic is among us.
There is a light within sickness and death and danger and pain and failure and collapse. St. Alphonsa is the person who made that light clear to the world.
