Kozhikode: MK Raghavan MP said that the only civil code is the tragedy we face now. He was speaking at the 48th State General Council of the Kerala Latin Catholic Association. He added that the central government would strike down religions in the country. Bishop of Calicut Dr. Varghese Chakkalakkal inaugurated the function. Bishop said discrimination in the name of religion is against the Constitution. Representatives of the community raised concerns at the KLCA state conference that India is the only disaster to face. The conference stated that the amendment of the Civil Rights Act and the abolition of Anglo-Indian representation were indicative of religious discrimination. The delegates from all the Latin diocese of Kerala participated.
