KOCHI: The Syro-Malabar Church’s Forum Secretary advised the government to halt the ongoing religious discrimination in the planning and implementation of minority welfare projects in the state. Jose Vidyatham asked. Most of the minority welfare schemes in the state are exclusively for the minority.
Other minority groups have adopted a discriminatory ratio of 80:20. When determining the beneficiaries of various schemes, 80 percent are for a particular group and the remaining 20 percent are for members of five minority religions, including Christians. Jose Vidyatham said.
