Suriyani version of Rasa Qurbana was launched during the Synod at Kakkanad Mount St. Thomas, in which His Excellency Bishop Mar Thomas Elavanal of Kalyan Diocese, Mar Poly Kannookaadan, and Mar George Madathikandathil were present.
As reported by syromalabarchurch.in, His Eminence Cardinal George Alencherry remarked that “To protect the heritage of Suriyani language, the Suriyani faithful should be equally responsible.” His Lordship Cardinal George Alencherry handed the copy of the suriani version of Rasa Qurbana, accepted by Rome, to His Excellency Bishop Mar Joseph Kallarangattu of Pala.
The Suriyani version of Rasa Qurbana was published under the guidance of Fr. Sebastian Muthuplackal, Fr. Charles Pyngottu, Fr. Poly Maniyattu, and Fr. Francis Pittapillil, Sr. Kochuthressia.
