Guayaquil: Zachariah, who survived the earthquake, was found to be the ray of hope following the earthquakes in the North American country of Puerto Rico. Zachary and Thiruvosthi were found without any problem at the shrine bearing the name of Amalothabhava’s mother located in Guayanilla. An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale on December 28 damaged the church. Zachary was lying on the edge of the altar. It is amazing that Zachary did not fall down despite such a powerful earthquake. Zachary was found on the 7th of January without any damage or scratches.
Even though they lost everything, believers celebrated the day Zachariah found Jesus’ earthly dwelling place. The clergy joined hands with the Casa and the Holy Mass. Zachary was temporarily placed in the mosque by the believers with zeal and reverence. In the context of the incident, the believing community has been described by the local media as ‘El Vistaante’ as the fighters of the Holy Eucharist. Though thousands of earthquakes have occurred in different parts of the country in the last two weeks, Zachary has given new hope to the survivors.
