The Syro-Malabar Church to observe 23rd March as the day of fasting and penance with a special intention to pray for the Church in solving the issues with the alienation of certain properties of the Ernakulam- Angamaly Archdiocese. The notice on fasting was decided by the Synod gathered at Kakkanad Mount St. Thomas, Kerala.
The Synod has invited the faithful to pray wholeheartedly for the Church to regain and maintain her peaceful ministry with faith and compassion and has urged them to spend at least an hour before the adoration of the Holy Sacrament on 23rd March, 2018. The Synod has decided to solve the current issues effectively with proper solutions.
