The Syro-Malabar Church observes today- 23rd March, 2018, as the day of fasting and penance with the main intention to pray for the peace and unity of the Church. The Church has expressed worries and pain about the recent developments with the alienation of certain properties of Ernakulam-Angamaly Archdiocese and has invited all the faithful to spend at least an hour in prayer today for the unity of the Church.
Many dioceses under the Syro-Malabar Church had observed 16th March 2018, as the day of fasting and penance and prayed for the peace of the Church.
