Syro-Malabar Church’s three-day seminar, which focused on the heritage of the Church in Kerala, came to a conclusion at Ernakulum on 26th November, 2017. A heritage art-expo was held at St. Mary’s Forane Church, Kanjoor, as a part of the 54th edition of the annual symposium, organized by the Liturgical Research Centre of the Syro Malabar Church.
More than 30 artists from different parts of the country attended the art-expo and students and teachers from the Sanskrit University and RLV Arts and Science college also attended the art-expo. The expo was mainly aimed at educating the younger generation about the Church’s heritage in the state. The artworks in the church were depicted through paintings by artists.
The paintings would be displayed at the Christian Museum at Mount St. Thomas, Kakkanad. Artist Francis Kodamkath inaugurated the expo on 26th November and His Excellency Bishop Tony Neelankavil delivered a speech at the inaugural meeting
