On 28 April 2019 at St. Luke’s Church, Anna Nagar in Chennai, the parish had a very pleasant surprise during the morning Mass. The Muslim brethren’s around the area visited the Church. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Prasad invited them into the church to share a few words.
They presented bouquets of fresh flowers and shared their solidarity, grief and concern for the massacre that happened in the Churches in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday.
The parishioners were appreciative of their gesture and their efforts to maintain peace and harmony amongst the communities. As a message of peace, they held placards which said ‘terror will not break bonds.’
