The social work community under the leadership of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam and Angamaly has started farming on a barren land under the Green Samurdhi Scheme. Inaugurating the inauguration, Benny Behanan MP said that Malayalees were forced to turn down the forgotten agrarian culture. Commented.
Chevalier PJ Thomas initiated various agricultural activities under the aegis of the Madonna Charitable Trust on 13 acres of land donated to the Archdiocese. Rev. Fr. Francis Ariekal presided over the function.
