Kochi: A religious Christmas celebration and carol song competition will be held at Chavara Cultural Center on December 21 at 4 pm under the auspices of Chavara Family Welfare Center. The Syro-Malabar Church’s head Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, will inaugurate the event. The top three winners of the Carol Song Contest will receive 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 prizes respectively.
Chavara Family Welfare Center Director Fr. Robbie Kannanchira, Executive Director, Johnson C are the organizers. Dignitories of the competition include Collector S. Suhas, Swami Sadashivananda, Hussain Moulavi, and Lions Club Vice District Governor V.C. James.
