Thiruvananthapuram: The Archbishop of Thiruvananthapuram, the Latin Archdiocese of Thiruvananthapuram, has said that the government has adopted the Citizenship Amendment Bill which is against the secular and democratic values of the Constitution. He was speaking at the Archdiocese yesterday to celebrate Constitutional Protection Day. He added that it is the duty of every individual to oppose all sorts of tendencies that violate the values laid down in the Constitution.
The Constitution is to hold us back with dignity, respect, and dignity. It is our duty to resist all sorts of tendencies that hamper those values. It is our position to express this to the people of India through this Constitutional Protection Day. “We can take an oath to go forward with all the sacrifices in the strength of the Constitution and uphold its values,” he said.
