Lima, Peru: Catholic charity Caritas and Clergy is a relief to Peruvian people who cannot afford to go to work because of a lockdown following Corona’s announcement. In a short time, they have delivered over 15,000 food packages. Organizers said they were planning to distribute more food packages. Food kits have been distributed at a cost of about four dollars.
Fr. Omar Sanchez Portillo announced March 26. The food packages were delivered to the public in anticipation of social distance, in collaboration with the Department of Public Health at the headquarters of the Beatitude community.
Fr. Sanchez was notified. The donation of food packages was made possible by the contributions of well-wishers and individuals. Sanchez clarified. The 15-day state of emergency in Peru has been extended to April 15 following Corona. A total of 950 cases of coronation have been reported in Peru. 24 people have died of coronary artery disease.
