As part of the philanthropic work on Easter, the Mount Carmel Church donated Rs. 5000 to dialysis patients.
The parish priest, Fr Francis Neelangavil, told ‘Pravachakashabdam’ that the church had already set aside funds to help the dialysis patients in the panchayat and that the food would be given to the community kitchen in the coming days. One of the oldest shrines in the Archdiocese of Thrissur was built around 500 AD.
