One year lasting Jubilee celebration’s inauguration of MST Congregation is on 20th February 2017 with the Holy Mass of 50 priests in Mylapur at St. Thomas Tomb, Chennai. On the day, the Jubilee lamp will be lighted at the tomb in order to take it to Deepti Mount, Kerala. The Golden jubilee Logo was released on 15th August 2016 at Deepti Generalate, Pala. The grand finale of MST Golden Jubilee will be held at Deepti Mount on 22 February 2018.
The Missionary Society of St. Thomas the Apostle (MST) was established on 22nd February 1968 at Kottayam District, Melambara in Kerala under the initiative of the then Cardinal Fulsten Berg. As MST’s vision and mission is to spread the Kingdom of God through witness and apostolic involvement, drawing spiritual enthusiasm from St. Thomas, the Apostle of India. MST is committed to take up the missionary responsibilities anywhere in the world through collective apostolate.
On 20th February 2017, MST Director General Rev. Dr. Kurian Ammanathukunnel will release the book of St. Thomas’ life history based Biblical Drama written by Rev. Dr. Sebastian Kizhekkal. This drama will be played in different parts of the country during this period of celebration as a part of their missionary venture.
