Neyyattinkara Diocese handed over 10000 face masks and 1000 bottles of sanitizers to Deputy Collector VR Vinod as part of the COVID 19 Prevention campaign. As part of the second phase of the preventive measures, Vicar General Mon.G.Christas, Mon. Alphonse Ligori in charge of the Diocese, and Fr. Christopher, Procurator, handed over face masks and sanitizers.
As part of the first phase of the project, the Community Kitchen Scheme, a government project to provide food to the needy in the Neyyattinkara Diocese, was distributed to various panchayats including the Municipal Councils of Neyyattinkara, Kattakada, and Nedumangad taluks.
Along with NIMS Medicine, 501 eggs were distributed under the leadership of Emanuel College. Bishop of Neyyattinkara, Vincent Samuel, said that the Neyyattinkara diocese will work with the government on the COVID defenses.
