Vatican City: Pope Francis will visit Lourdes, a global Marian pilgrimage center, to treat cancer patients at the Gemili Hospital in Rome. The Pope has put on an auction of electric bicycles donated by Italian automaker ‘Piaggio’ to fund the cost of children’s travel.
All proceeds from the auction will be used for children’s pilgrimage. A few months ago, the children of Gemeli Hospital came to Santa Marta to attend the Papal Divine sacrifice. Secretary Mon has said that Pope had organised an auction of his bicycle to execute the meeting. The Pope and the hospital authorities hope that with the release of directives regarding corona, the 22 children will be able to travel to Lourdes together.
