WASHINGTON, DC: When Western countries attempt to expel the belief of God in the name of secularism, there is a growing trend in the United States to permit or encourage religious demonstrations in the workplace, according to various reports. An increasing number of companies are supporting the faith of workers. According to an Associated Press report, 20 percent of companies listed on the Fortune 100 list of the 100 largest companies in the United States have incorporated faith-based workforce groups and circumstances into their workplaces.
The Religious Freedom and Business Foundation is an organization that closely monitors religious freedom in the workplace. Founder of the Foundation, Brian Grimm, in his introduction to the Fortune 100 rankings, writes that the trend of giving employees the same level of faith as their various divisions are growing in the American corporate world. The Foundation’s ‘Religious Equity Diversity and Inclusion’ (REDI) index has been awarded to major companies such as Tyson Foods and Intel for recognizing the trust life of workers.
The National Conference and Religious Freedom and Business Foundation organized the first ‘Faith-Based Worker Resource Colleges’ in association with the Catholic University of the Bush School of Business on February 13-14. The conference was a forum for Employee Resource Leaders from various corporate companies in the United States to describe their experiences. Brian Grimm said that corporate companies are now beginning to realize that their God-given orientation is as important as the race, gender and sexual orientation of workers.
