Vatican City: Pope Francis says that Jesus is the light that drives away the darkness and spreads the light by proclaiming the Gospel. The Pope was delivering a message in connection with the Triphala Jap on Sunday. The Pope reminded him that Christ’s disciple and the Christian community became the light of the world, helping each person to experience God’s goodness and mercy.

The disciple of Jesus is illumined when he lives by faith outside the narrow spaces, contributes to the elimination of falsehoods and delusions, and shines the light of truth into hypocrisy and lies. Spread the light. It is not my light, but the light of Jesus. We are tools to bring the light of Jesus to everyone. Jesus tells us not to be afraid to live there, even though the conditions of tension and sin may sometimes manifest in the world.

In the face of violence, injustice, and oppression, the Christian cannot shut himself or hide in the safety of his own fence. The Church is conscious of the fact that it is the pilgrimage community that has been called upon to continue the saving presence of Jesus Christ. The pope concluded his message with the words, “May the Holy Virgin help us to be a salt and a light among the people, bringing the good news of God’s love to all.”
