Jerusalem: A joint statement at the end of the Holy Land Pilgrimage, conducted by fifteen bishops of various nationalities, expressing solidarity with the Christians in East Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Gaza. The bishops appealed to the international community and bilateral leaders to make peace efforts in Israel and Palestine focusing on the human soul of all.
The international bishops have made a request for a peace effort in a public declaration, rejecting the local bishops’ statement that all efforts by the international community to restore peace on Christ’s soil have been in vain. The Holland Coordination 2020 (HLC20), aimed at promoting peace and dialogue, was held from January 11 to 16. For the past two decades, the combined bishop has been visiting the Holy Land without any hindrance. The Holy Land Coordination Group is headed by the Bishop of England and Wales.
