Thiruvalla: The Christ Sculpture at the Believers Church Medical College is set to make a world record. It has the distinction of being the largest Christ sculpture in the world made of three metals. The Christ statue was installed on December 1, 2014, with a height of 368 cm, weight of 2400 kg and weight of 55 mm. It was completed in three phases in one and a half years.
Molten metal was used to make copper tin and foam in a special proportion. The sculptor is Balakrishnan Achari from Chengannur. The World Records announcement will be made on February 10. On the same day, the certificate and the signature of the International Guinness Jury Chairman, Believers Church President Dr. Will be presented to John.
